What is Maker Mindset?
At Maker Mindset, we reimagine tutoring through hands-on STEAM learning powered by community-donated materials. Every session integrates literacy, mathematical thinking, oral language development, and social-emotional growth into purposeful design challenges where students build, test, and refine real-world solutions.
In our supportive environment, learners are encouraged to think critically, take thoughtful risks, and learn through iteration. Their completed projects either return home as a symbol of achievement or are donated to benefit others, reinforcing both confidence and community responsibility.
Instruction is personalized and data-informed, blending project-based learning with explicit, systematic teaching when foundational skills require targeted support. Students strengthen academic knowledge, executive functioning, and problem-solving skills through authentic creation and structured reflection.
